Rooms 108 and 110 in the Daniels Hall building are "open access labs" that are available to all Elmhurst College Students and Elmhurst College residents. They contain 42 PCs, 2 Macs, 2 scanners, and two laser printers. All other lab rooms are reserved for classes and related work.
Even though all computers have hard drives, any files saved on them are removed whenever the computer is restarted. Users should bring standard 3.5-inch diskettes with them to save their work. Blank diskettes may be purchased in Room 107 for $.50 each. We also sell blank CDs for $1 each.
Academic Computing Specialists and student techs are available to assist Elmhurst students and faculty, as well as Elmhurst visitors, while the lab is open.
Expect for major holidays, the labs are open all year. However, hours of operation may be reduced during the summer and on certain holiday weekends. Special notices will be posted in the lab office and on the lab doors in such cases.
The lab doors lock automatically ten minutes before closing. Please complete any print jobs and close all programs when you are done.
