In view of the snows and the possibility of dangerous driving conditions later this evening, I am making the final exam optional. You should have a good idea where your grade stands now. If you're content with it, you need not take the final exam; I will give you whatever grade you've earned on all the assignments up through the essay on The March. If, however, you would like to take the final exam in the hope of raising your grade, I will be here with the exam ready to go. If you choose not to take the exam, I would appreciate an email letting me know that, simply so all hands are accounted for.

Furthermore, if you have late work to turn in, you may submit it by email any time tonight. I will not require "hard copy" in this case.
