Students who are interested in pursuing a degree in teaching, the licensure programs for secondary (grades 6–12) or K–12 teaching are structured to give future teachers the tools they need to develop, organize and utilize methods and materials that are pertinent to their chosen program. With education often cited as the single most determining factor in one's future, graduates of the teacher licensure programs are given the resources they need to be effective, compassionate and inspiring educators.

*The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) requires that all candidates enrolled in the present Middle-Level Approval program complete the coursework on or before September 1, 2017 under current State-approved requirements, and have their Professional Education License (PEL) endorsement issued by September 1, 2018.
