Apply to Elmhurst as a First-Year Student

At Elmhurst, you'll find everything you need to reach your full potential. Applying is easy, and there's no application fee.

Admission Criteria
We give preference to students who have completed 16 academic units, including three units of English; two units each of mathematics, laboratory science, and social studies; and seven units in additional college preparatory subjects.

How to Apply

  1. Complete the application for admission. You may apply online or download a paper application.
  2. Submit your high school transcript or GED test results.
  3. Submit your scores on the ACT or SAT, sent directly from the testing corporation to Elmhurst. (Our ACT code is 1020).
  4. Submit a recommendation by a member of your high school faculty (the form is part of the application).

An essay and an interview are recommended, but not required.
