Admission Requirements

A baccalaureate degree in any field from an accredited college/university is required of all students to be admitted into the Online Graduate GIS Certificate Program. A baccalaureate degree in geography, GIS, or a related field from an accredited college/university is required of all students to be admitted into the MS-GIS Program. Those with a degree in geography, geospatial technologies, or GIS may have the AGS 500 prerequisite waived, based on prior coursework experience. Sufficient work experience in the GIS/geospatial technologies industry, combined with a minimum of a baccalaureate degree, may also be sufficient cause for waiving AGS 500, as determined by the program director. Graduates of the Elmhurst College Online GIS Certificate Program may have AGS 500 waived, providing they have a baccalaureate degree.
