The Unfinished Story of Grigor Zohrab: The Armenian Genocide and its Repercussions

Hripsime Haroutunian, an Armenian scholar who teaches at the University of Chicago, will be at Elmhurst College on April 15, to discuss Grigor Zohrab and his ‘unfinished story.’

Dr. Hripsime Haroutunian grew up in Yerevan, Armenia. In 1992, she received her Ph.D. in Ancient Near Eastern Languages, History and Civilizations. In 1993, she received a Fullbright Fellowship to pursue research at the University of Chicago. She is the coordinator of the Armenian Studies program at the University of Chicago and a faculty member in the Department of Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations.

Dr. Hripsime's lecture will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Blume Board Room of the College’s Frick Center (190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst). This event is free and open to the public, no reservations are needed. Sponsored by the College’s Spiritual Life Council.
