Sacred Playground Theatre Project
Written by Andras Visky, performed by Patricia Skarbinski and directed by Robin Witt, Juliet: A Dialogue About Love is an elegant solo performance which follows the story of a young mother's struggle to embrace love within the confines of a Romaanian gulag. Surprisingly joyful and viscerally poetic, this piece is based on a true story. Beginning when Juliet wakes to find herself in the morgue, this play is an aggressive confrontation with an inactive God. The conversation follows her stream of consciousness, piling together the mosiac of her life to solve her current abandonment. Full of seeking, this piece reveals how one can be found even in the most unexpected of places.
Elmhurst College Theatre welcomes the Sacred Playground Theatre Project on Wednesday, July 24, for their final performance before performing in Scotland at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on July 31–August 10, 2013. The production team includes past and current theatre faculty members Patricia Skarbinski and Joel Huff.
