Prior to applying to medical or other professional schools, some students who already have their undergraduate degree may want to enhance their academic background by taking upper-level science courses to boost their GPA and strengthen their overall candidacy. Others may be interested in completing the necessary prerequisite courses if they are changing career paths. Students are able to participate in post-baccalaureate (post-bac) programs to meet these needs. For more information on post-bac programs, visit the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions, Inc site. Below is a sampling of post-bac programs as well as some one-year graduate programs. Students should carefully read over the descriptions to determine if they are for enhancing one's application and/or for those changing careers. Any students interested in completing prerequisite courses for health professions programs can take those undergraduate classes at Elmhurst. Health Professions Advising is able to help you with further questions so stop by to schedule an appointment!
Elmhurst College is not affiliated with any of these programs nor does the College have any say in their application process. Students apply and participate in these programs at their own discretion and cost.
