Our Lord's Conception of the Providence of God
In this sermon, delivered at United Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, in 1952, Niebuhr discusses the dangers of the widely-held Protestant doctrine that history and human affairs are by turns divinely rewarded and punished.
