From high drama to musical comedy, the Elmhurst College theatre program offers a rich, rewarding education focused on the theatrical arts.
Theatre students at Elmhurst choose from among three majors: theatre, musical theatre, and theatre arts education. Whichever direction you choose, you’ll be immersed in the theory and history of drama and stagecraft and put your skills into practice.
You’ll study with faculty who work as theatre professionals. You might participate in the American College Theatre Festival. You’ll participate in high-level productions as an actor, set designer, director, and more. In short, you’ll prepare for an entry-level position in the profession, or for intensive study on the graduate level.
