Michael S. Lindberg
Associate Professor and Department Chair

Dr. Lindberg, an Elmhurst graduate, is an accomplished author who has published four books and several articles. His research and teaching interests include intercultural studies; LGBTQ studies; the geography of identity, gender and sexuality; political-military geography (specifically the American Civil War); and the regional study of the developing world.
Carmi J. Neiger

Mr. Neiger teaches GIS, spatial analysis techniques, urban and economics geography, and geography of religion. He has worked with CAD and GIS applications in both the public and private sectors for over 25 years and has presented on these topics at local, national, and international conferences. Mr. Neiger’s research interests include spatial statistics, visualization of spatial data, urban ethnic and racial residential patterns, and the geography of religion.
