How It Works

Students in the IT program are required to successfully complete 9 courses for a total of 36 semester hours.

In addition to completing the major requirements, to earn a bachelor’s degree, all students must also complete certain requirements in the Elmhurst College ntegrated Curriculum, a series of courses that provide a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences (32 course credits/128 semester hours). You may be able to earn elective credits for life experience and other non-collegiate learning (see Alternative Sources for College Credit to learn more).

Program Directors reserve the right to admit students under the age of 24 who are qualified to meet the rigorous requirements of an accelerated program.

Program Format
As an adult learner, you come to class equipped with knowledge and skills that enable you to learn at an accelerated pace. The degree completion program in information technology can be completed in as little as 14 months. In an accelerated format, coursework is offered entirely online through the Elmhurst College Online Center or through a hybrid format combining on-campus evening courses and online learning.

All courses are eight weeks in length. Movement between the online and hybrid format is handled on a case-by-case basis.Whichever format you choose, instructors are always available to meet with you by appointment.
