Art 356-15 ~ Survey of Latin American Art~
A survey of art from Latin America covering the regions of Mexico, Central and South America. The stylistic and iconographic development of architecture, painting, sculpture, and craft art of these societies are studied as they are formed in their social, political, and religious contexts. The ancient and modern influences on Latin American Art are examined with emphasis on movements of twentieth century art and the impact of modernism on it.
