Finding Books

• Use Illinet Online to find books held in the Elmhurst College library as well as books owned by 44 other Illinois academic libraries.

Finding Articles

• Academic Search Elite ~ contains both popular and peer-reviewed articles, many of which are full-text
  
  
• Periodical Abstracts ~ some full-text articles are available from a variety of sources
  
  
• Wilson Select Plus ~ all full-text articles, from both scholarly and popular sources
  
  
• Annual Reviews: Biology ~ The library has access to a variety of annual reviews, including The Annual Review of Physiology and The Annual Review of Genetics. The full text for the past five years can be accessed electronically via the Electronic Journal Collections section of the Electronic Journals and Newspapers page.
  
  
• BioAgIndex, BioDigest, and BasicBIOSIS ~ to access these databases, you'll need the authorization and password from the library. These are indexes only; there is no full text.
  
  
• Medline ~ a medical database containing no full text; articles are written by practicioners for practicioners

• For example, search for the title Journal of African History.
