Finding Articles

  • JSTOR ~ JSTOR is an online library currently containing more than 100 journals in 15 different disciplines. JSTOR does not include current issues of journals, but is an electronic archives of titles, often going back to the first issue of a journal's existence. All full text. (To access this resource from off campus, go to the Electronic Journals and Newspapers page, and choose JSTOR).
  • Dictionary of Literary Biography ~ More than 6000 entries on the lives and careers of authors from all eras and genres. Includes biographical and critical studies, bibliographies of each author's work' and sources for further reading. To access this database from off campus, you will need to enter the following ID, "elmhurst" (without the quotation marks), when prompted at the next screen. Then click the "Proceed" button.
  • Twayne Authors Series ~ This series provides criticism of the works of major U.S., English, and world authors from Aristophanes to the present. Author entries range from 175-200 pages
