Overview of the New 2008 A.C. Buehler Library Website

One of the first places to look is the toolbar on the left

You can search multiple databases using Web Feat and that is under Search Electronic Databases, Journals, and Magazines.

Below is a list of a few databases I recommend for your research. They are all in our alphabetical list of databases.

Academic Search Complete - Academic Search Complete is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 9,810 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc.

CQ Researcher - The CQ Researcher covers a wide range of social, economic, political, and environmental issues. Each report is divided into specific sections to guide research. Students can go directly to the section they need or can read the entire report.Covers current and controversial issues. Provides summaries, analysis, and bibliographies.

Daily Life Online
A suite of databases that explore life and culture from the past to the present, allowing researchers to compare and contrast social issues through the ages. A useful resource for looking at arts and literature in the context of their times. Includes extensive teacher resources, correlating materials in the databases to the Illinois Learning Standards.

ERIC via EBSCO
is a key source for education information. Allows users to access articles from scholarly as well as professional periodicals, in addition to ERIC documents. Many articles are available in full-text, and there are links to full-text ERIC documents available.

MAS-Ultra, School Edition
Designed for high school libraries, this database provides articles from over 700 popular publications dating back to 1975. Every article is assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). This database also includes book reviews, pamphlets, reference books as well as biographies and primary source documents, and an extensive collection of photos, maps and flags. Useful for Education majors.

Professional Development Collection
Designed for professional educators, provides full text of articles from nearly 550 journals, many of which are peer-reviewed.

How can I find the Journals cited by these databases that are not full-text?
