Each time I enter a classroom
setting, I learn a little bit more about the teacher that I wish and hope
to become. My philosophy
as a preservice teacher is
still changing because of everything that I am still learning. However,
I do believe that, as teachers,
we have the ability to make
every student succeed. Every child has the right to learn, and it
is our job to make sure that each
individual is provided with
a quality education. Every student enters the room with different
talents and abilities, and we need to
tap into them and use them
to each student's advantage. As an elementary school teacher, I hope
to serve as a role model and
examplar to my students. If
I am excited about learning, the students will be excited, too. I
hope to provide a classroom
setting that is fun to be
in and at the same time, promotes learning; I hope to become an advocate
for my students because in
some cases, the teacher is
the only advocate a child may have; I hope to provide my students with many
hands-on and
authentic experiences so
that learning is memorable and meaningful; I hope to build a community of
learners.
