My teaching philosophy has changed over the course of my education. They say "Knowledge is Power" and I
have come to truly believe that this statement is true. Now that I am spending more time in the classroom I find
myself thinking about "my kids" all the time. I am constantly searching for new ideas to make my class more
interesting for my students. I look for new strategies for some of my struggling students. I try to think of innovating
ways to motivate some of my less motivated students, and I try to wrap this all up in an informative way. This is not
an easy task for a teacher. I have found that my mentor teacher, who has taught for years, has the same non-stop
thoughts as I do. Obviously, I will be thinking of my students 24/7 for the next 20-30 years. With each passing day
I am happy that I chose to go back to college and get my teaching degree. I LOVE IT!
The internet and technology have made learning about our world so much more accessible for students. The
amount of knowledge out there is truly endless. This technology has provided teachers with seemingly unlimited
ways and amounts of information and strategies to pass on to our students. I now believe that every student can be
reached in some way, as a teacher we just need
the patience and the determination to reach every student.
