As a teacher, I realize I have the great
responsibility of inspiring and challenging students to become life-long learners.
In order to motivate my students to do their best, I will maintain
high expectations for everyone. I will also celebrate every student's
abilities and differentiate instruction so that they can learn in a way that
best suits them. All children are unique and deserve an equal opportunity
to succeed, and I feel I can enable them the most by being a facilitator.
My classroom atmosphere will also encourage learning. By having
a positive environment, the studnets can learn through meaningful activities,
and working cooperatively. Discussions, inquiry, and learning from
one another will be valued, as well. I want to teach my students
to respect each others opinions, ideas, and beliefs, just as I respect each
of them. My goal in becoming a teacher is not only to teach students
information, but also to instill a love for learning, and to equip them
with skills they will need throughout life.
