I believe the educational process should take place in a class, where the teacher encourages learning and developing. Children should be able to develop their strengths and strengthen their weaknesses. There needs to be a sense of safety and an encouraging atmosphere. I feel their futures depend on a strong base of knowledge, which need to be implemented when the children are at the beginning of their educational career.
For all these reasons I want to teach. In many schools children are not receiving encouragement and I want to help them find their way to future success. I have an extreme love for children and I want to be able to help them develop into the greatest people that they can be. I want to help them discover and enhance their talents, too.
There are several qualities a teacher should have and I feel I already posses them. The first quality is patience. It is important to have patience because each child learns at a different rate and may need several different teaching techniques in order to understand. I will utilize the techniques of visual, audio, and hands on learning. I am also very enthusiastic. Children tend to respond to enthusiasm. I will make learning an enjoyable aspect in their lives. The final quality I posses is being open minded. I am willing to hear new ideas and willing to learn from the students and the people around me. All these characteristics and philosophies are important in the educational process.
