My Educational Philosophy

My philosophy as an educator is ever evolving.  Every time I step into a classroom I learn something new about myself and

the teacher that I want to become.  Each student that walks through the door to my classroom enters with unimaginable

potential, and it is my job to help that student work towards achieving that potential.  In addition, I must use my power and

influence as an educator to motivate students to discover their untapped abilities.  I can be an excellent model for my students

by continuing in my own life-long pursuit of learning.

As a teacher I will become an advocate for my students both inside and outside the walls of my classroom.  I will treat all

students with respect and provide a safe learning environment within my classroom.  Students will take part in meaningful and

authentic experiences that will help them to grow as both a learner and a person.  As a professional, I will learn from my

colleagues and their experience, and will help them to build a stronger community within the school and community.
