Judy Blume is one of my favoriate authors. As a child I remember reading so many of her books. The one book I remember the most is Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing. This book was actually inspired by an article her babysitter gave her about a boy who had swallowed a tiny little turtle. She wrote about a boy named Fudge which was based on her son Larry.Judy also speaks bodly about censorship. I love this quote, "But it's not just the books under fire now that worry me. It is the books that will never be written. The books that will never be read. And all due to the fear of censorship. As always, young readers will be the real losers." I think that this really holds a lot of truth and she reflects this view in her writting.
She has written books on many different topics. Some of her books are: Freckle Juice, The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo, The Pain and the Great One, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret, Superfudge, Starring Sally J. Freedman As Herself, Otherwise Known As Shelia the Great, Then Again, Maybe I won't, It's Not the End of the World, Blubber, Iggie's House, Deenie, and Tiger Eyes.
