We are about to embark on a wonderful adventure - exploring math through texts, and exploring texts through math.  Fortunately for me, math is one of my favorite subjects.  If it isn't one of yours, maybe this exploration will at least open you to the idea that there is something of interest to be gained by learning about math.  After all, it is interwoven into almost every aspect of our daily lives -  time, the space we enhabit, nature, and  money are just a few aspects of daily living where an understanding of numbers (number sense) is important.  There are several wonderfully interesting web sites at the end of this page.  I hope you spend some time delving into the cyber world where math and literature meet!

The following web pages will allow you to explore many ways that math and literature are entertwined.  Please take notes when you reach a site that inspires you to make connections or drives you to discover more.  I can't tell you how many hours I spent finding out information about math, literature, and my world while I was developing this site.  I learned things that I never set out to learn!  I hope you have half as much fun exploring as I did.
