Education is an experience that
encourages life long learning. It provides a basis for physical, social,
emotional, and cognitive growth. The learning process assists students
in reaching their goals by allowing new ideas and concepts to take form throughout
the years. Becoming a competent teacher is not an easy task. It
is one that requires time, commitment, and effort. One of the most difficult
tasks of teaching is realizing that all students are individuals with needs,
wants, and desires.
As a teacher and mentor, I hope to
share qualities that will encourage students to develop into well-rounded
individuals. In addition to the academics of school, my classroom
will use different techniques and strategies to promote self-esteem, provide
opportunites, overcome challenges, and encourage critical thinking. A
classroom is a place to learn and to broaden ones' horizons.
I understand that all children have
the right to an education despite disabilities, and it is my goal to work
with all children. Knowledge is power, and a teacher has the chance
to model this power as he/she teaches. Working as a team between
the schools, community, and family will encourage students to reach toward
their fullest potential. With my integrity, enthusiasm, and dependability
I believe that there is much I can offer. Everyone has a chance to
succeed; the opportunity just needs to be presented. Education provides
this opportunity for all students.
