Finding Articles

Finding Scholarly Articles (Elmhurst College users only)
  • JSTOR  is an online library currently containing more than 100 journals in 15 different disciplines. JSTOR does not include current issues of journals but is an electronic archive of titles, often going back to the first issue of a journal's existence. All full text.
  • Project Muse is an online library of 45 journals from Johns Hopkins University Press, with the full text of articles from 1996 to the present. Journals in this collection cover primarily the humanities and the social sciences.
  • ATLA Religion Database An international database covering Biblical studies, world religions, Church history, and religious perspectives on social issues. Covers articles in periodicals as well as books, from 1949 to the present.

There is no full text available in this database; however, ATLA has developed a new database containing the full text of over 60 religious studies journals. It works best to do a search in ATLA, then go to ATLA Serials (ATLAS) to see if the journal is available full text.
