Articles and Databases
| ATLA Religion Database | An international database covering Biblical studies,
world religions, Church history, and religious perspectives on social
issues. Covers articles in periodicals as well as books, from 1949 to
the present. For helpful hints on searching for scripture references,
The full text of over 60 religious studies journals is available in ATLA as part of the ATLA Serials project (ATLAS). |
| Academic Search Elite | A general database that has limited coverage of theology topics. The database contains both scholarly and popular journal sources, many in full text. Be sure to evaluate the sources in these databases before using them. |
| Periodical Abstracts | A general database with information on a wide range of subjects including business, current affairs, economics, literature, psychology, religion, and women's studies from general and academic journals, many in full text. Be sure to evaluate the sources in these databases before using them. |
| Lexis-Nexis Academic | Use this database to find information on current news topics by searching the News section (see especially General News and World News). Reference information on different countries is also available by searching Reference, then Country Profiles. |
Use Illinet Online to determine if the library owns the journal in print or microfilm, and check Alphabetical List of Journals and Magazines Available Online for electronic access to journals. If the article you seek is unavailable from these sources, please request it through our online Interlibrary Loan article request form.
