Disable Pop-ups for Testing
If you are using a pop-up
blocker when you are connected to the Internet,
you may have difficulty taking tests in
your Blackboard course or participating
in the Discussion Board. The pop-up blockers
in some Web browsers and Internet service
providers may treat a Blackboard test or
message in a Discussion Board forum as a
pop-up. You have two options:
!. Disable your pop-up blocker
while using Blackboard.
2. Make sure that your pop-up blocker permits
content from your Blackboard course. The
following instructors are for Windows Explorer.
Instructions for Windows
Explorer:
!. Click "Tools"
on the Explorer menu bar at the top of your
screen:
2. Click "Pop-up Blocker"
on the menu. Your first option is to select
"Turn Off Pop-up Blocker":
3. Your second option, after making sure
that the Pop-up Blocker is turned on, is
to choose "Pop-up Blocker Settings...."
4. When the "Pop-up Blocker Settings"
dialog box appears, enter the Web address
of your Blackboard site. This address is
the <http://bb.elmhurst.edu>
5. After you enter the address, click the
"Add" button and the "Close."
