The Gerda Luner Memorial prize
for
Social Justice and the
Holocaust
This memorial prize honors one of the founding members of the Elmhurst College Holocaust Guestship, Gerda Luner. She was a Blessing to all and a witness to the power of a personal resistance in the face of evil exemplified in the Holocaust. This annual competitive prize is open to all Elmhurst students and is selected by a group of faculty and the Chaplain. Criteria for the prize: A written paper, up to 10 pages in length, to address the relationship between Social Justice and the Holocaust. Papers should be double-spaced and in Times new Roman, 12 pt. Font. All essays must be submitted to the Chaplain's Office by the 12th of April, 2004. You may submit your essay via E-mail to alexiso@elmhurst.edu or drop it off at the Student Activities Office.
