Academic
Librarians for the 21st Century:
"Chicago's Great Libraries"
The "Chicago's
Great Libraries" course is a class held during the January term
of the school year. Currently in its second year, the course offers
students a chance to visit and tour libraries of all types around the
Chicagoland area. In addition, students learn about the many issues
facing libraries, such as censorship, copyright, and librarian stereotypes.
Thanks to the assistance of the many great librarians in the Chicagoland
area, we are able to expose our students to the nuances of libraries
and librarianship.
