Seven (7) scientific papers published during the period since our last Progress Report have presented KTeV Collaboration results (Fermilab E799 and E832). The very substantial investment in effort that went into construction and installation of the KTeV detector, our first data-taking run (1996-97), subsequent detector modification, our second round of data taking (1999-2000), and continuing data analysis is now paying great dividends. ( We are currently working on the code to create the proper letters in html for these citations, our apologies)

(a) KTeV Collaboration, Measurement of the Branching Ratio of KL6 e+e! ??, Phys. Rev. D64, 012003 (2001) presents results from 1997 KTeV (E799) data (1543 events) providing an effective form factor determination and a branching ratio determination of much higher precision. This process is a source of significant background in searches for direct CP violation and new physics in KL6 p0e+eB decays.

(b) KTeV Collaboration, Measurement of the Rare Decay KL6 e+e!e+e!, Phys. Rev. Letters 86, 5425 (2001) presents results from 1997 KTeV (E799) data (441 events) yielding a much improved branching ration determination, a study of the CP asymmetry, and the first analysis of a KL?*?* form factor.

(c) KTeV Collaboration, Measurement of the Branching Ratio and Asymmetry of the Decay ?0 6 S0 ?, Phys. Rev. Letters 86, 3239 (2001) presents results from 1997 KTeV (E799) data (4045 events) producing determinations of the branching ratio and decay asymmetry which are much more precise than the previously available values. Our results, which grow directly out of our long-standing interest in hyperon decays, correct a long-standing error in the literature concerning the decay asymmetry for this process. Members of our group have worked with Fermilab physicist Erik Ramberg on this analysis including clarification of the errors in the present literature. We are also preparing a brief note elaborating on the errors in the previously published results on this process and X0 6 L(.

(d) KTeV Collaboration, Study of the KL6 p+pB ? Direct Emission Vertex, Phys. Rev. Letters 86, 761 (2001) contains results from 1996 KTeV (E832) data (8669 events) including the first direct measurement of the KL6p+pB? direct-emission form factor, substantially extending our earlier work (FNAL E731) on this process.

(e) KTeV Collaboration, Search for the Decay KL6 p0e+eB, Phys. Rev. Letters 86, 397 (2001). Based on 1997 KTeV (E799) data, we set a branching ratio limit B(KL6 p0e+eB) < 5.1 x 10-10 at the 90% confidence level. This is approximately one order of magnitude better than the previous limit.

(f) KTeV Collaboration, Evidence for the Decay KL6 µ+µB ??, Phys. Rev. D62, 112001 (2000). This paper, based on 1997 KTeV (E799) data (4 events), presents the first determination of the branching ratio for this process. This process provides a formidable background to the search for direct CP violation and new physics in KL6 p0µ+µB decays.

(g) KTeV Collaboration, Search for the Decay KL6 p0µ+µB, Phys. Rev. Letters 84, 5279 (2000). On the basis of 1997 KTeV (E799) data, this paper presents a branching ratio limit B(KL6 p0µ +µB) < 3.8 x 10-10 at the 90% confidence level. This is more than an order of magnitude better than the previous limit.
