Thanks to a new partnership between Elmhurst College and The John Marshall Law School, students now have the opportunity to pursue both an MBA at Elmhurst and a Juris Doctor (JD) at John Marshall through a dual-degree program.
Students who are accepted into both programs may apply up to nine semester hours of pre-designated coursework in one program toward electives for the other degree, allowing them to earn two degrees in substantially less time than it would normally take.

To apply for the dual-degree program, students must apply separately to both Elmhurst College and The John Marshall Law School. Candidates interested in the dual-degree program must meet the admission requirements of both institutions.
Upon acceptance to both schools, students may begin the program at either school. Students who are new to both programs may begin the JD degree on a full-time basis, where the first year of law courses must be taken at John Marshall with no MBA courses taken during this time.
Or, students may begin the JD degree on a part-time basis at John Marshall, where they may take JD and MBA coursework simultaneously. Students currently enrolled in the JD degree at John Marshall or the MBA program at Elmhurst apply to the other institution as a part-time student.
Students who have already completed the JD degree at John Marshall may retroactively apply up to nine semester hours of approved JD credit toward the MBA degree at Elmhurst. Elmhurst MBA alumni are not eligible for the dual-degree program.
