From jazz combos to chamber music to acoustic guitar, Elmhurst College offers summer programs for musicians of all ages.
Programs in sport management and music performance extend the College’s list of undergraduate majors to 59.
High school and junior high musicians are invited to attend master classes to prepare for the Illinois Music Educators Association auditions. Members of the Elmhurst College music faculty and guest artists will teach workshop sessions to help prepare students for their auditions. The Elmhurst College Concert Choir, Philharmonic Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will rehearse, perform and assist in the workshops. Activities may include master classes, performances of the required audition music, sectionals, tips on sightreading, audition strategies and mock auditions. Students also may receive instruction in individual lessons, small groups or large ensembles. Lunch or snacks will be provided.
