Mark Draper  is completing his doctorate in the history of Christianity at Trinity International University in Deerfield, where he is writing a dissertation on evangelicals engaged in social reform in the nineteenth century. Before coming to the Niebuhr Center, he worked as reference and research librarian and library supervisor at the Free Library of Philadelphia.  Mark holds a B.A. in history from Temple University, an MLIS from Drexel University, an M.A. in Christian thought and church history from Biblical Seminary and he did graduate work in American history at Temple University. In addition to working at the Niebuhr Center Mark is an adjunct professor in the Religion Department at Elmhurst College. He lives in Grayslake with his wife Dawn and their two dogs.

Inamul Haq

Professor Inamul Haq teaches in the Religious Studies Department at Elmhurst College and at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL.  His area of expertise is Islamic Studies.  Previously he has been principal of two Islamic day schools in Chicago.  Mr. Haq is founding member of the International Strategy and Policy Institute, an Oak Brook-based think tank. He served on the Chicago Committee of Human Rights Watch and on the Board of the Cardinal Bernadine Center of Catholic Theological Union. Mr. Haq is also a honorary Imam in Chicago. He has been frequently interviewed by local media, including the Chicago Tribune and PBS regarding issues covering Islam and Muslims. Professor Haq studied at International Islamic University in Islamabad, Pakistan and at Drew University in New Jersey.

Trudy Sulita has been employed with Elmhurst College since 1997 and has spent the last five years in the Niebuhr Center. She is in her final year toward receiving her bachelor’s degree in managerial communication at Elmhurst College and plans to go to graduate school following graduation where she will pursue a degree in leadership in higher education. Raised in the UCC tradition and faith, she is an active member of First United Methodist in Bensenville. Trudy enjoys working with students and helping them discern their true callings to a life in ministry or service.
