Niebuhr Center for Engagement and Reflection

Spiritual Resources

Niebuhr Center students at Elmhurst College have access to a wealth of spiritual resources and programs. For example:

College Chaplaincy
Through worship programs, group activities and community service, the Chaplaincy invites students of all faith backgrounds to further their own spiritual development and explore other faiths.

Department of Religious Studies
Through the study of theology and world religions, students deepen their understanding of their own faith and others.
Religious Lecture Series
Elmhurst sponsors an annual series of religious lectures focusing on different religious traditions.

Religious Organizations
Student clubs and organizations support students of many faiths as they examine their values and explore their beliefs.

Service-Learning Opportunities
Elmhurst encourages students to participate in community service projects on campus and beyond. In some cases, students earn academic credit for their work.
