During Orientation, students break into small groups to discuss their beliefs and values and also tackle a community service project.
Orientation at Elmhurst College is a great opportunity to explore, meet new people, get accustomed to college life and build friendships that can last a lifetime.
Incoming first-year students participate in a four-day orientation program known as New Student Orientation: Are You Ready to Reach Your Potential? Through service projects, team-building exercises and more, you’ll examine your beliefs, build academic skills and become a part of the Elmhurst community.
For transfer students, a one-day orientation program helps ease the transition to a new environment. From resource sessions to a football scrimmage, it’s a chance to make connections and discover what Elmhurst College is all about.
After orientation officially ends, you’ll enjoy several weeks of activities designed to build community and get you involved. From the end of August throughout Fall Term, Weeks of Welcome offers video screenings, lectures, service projects, religious activities and much more.
