I am not a current or former student. Why have I received email messages from Elmhurst College?
The Elmhurst College student identified on the transcript has authorized Elmhurst College's Records and Registration Office to send you their official transcript electronically.
How do I retrieve the electronic transcript?
You will receive two email messages from Elmhurst College:
The first email message will contain a link to the Document Delivery Service web site.
The second email message will contain the pass code. Copy and paste the pass code into the Document Delivery Service Web site.
How long do I have to retrieve the electronic transcript?
It can be downloaded for up to 60 days after it is originally sent. After 60 days, the electronic transcript will no longer be available for download. The requestor will need to order another transcript.
Can I bookmark the Web site to save a step as I receive additional electronic transcripts?
No. The Web site link is unique for each specific electronic transcript. Bookmarking the URL will result in an error message if you attempt to retrieve a different transcript.
I successfully retrieved the document and saved it on my desktop, but cannot open it again.
You must open it with Adobe Reader, version 6.04 or higher.
I successfully retrieved the document but DID NOT save it on my desktop. Can I retrieve it again from the Web site?
Yes. However, the transcript may only be opened seven times. After that, the requestor will need to request another transcript. The transcript fee will be charged again.
How do I know the electronic transcript is valid?
When you download the PDF document, you will see a valid certificate message on the top of the page. There will be a blue ribbon displayed to the left of this message.
I received a document certification message of “INVALID”. There was a red X to the left of this message. What does it mean?
There is a problem with the transcript. Please call the Registration and Records Office immediately. Our number is (630) 617-3052, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday-Thursday), 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Friday), Central time.
