Constance A. Mixon

Dr. Mixon teaches courses in American government, state and local government, urban politics, public administration and public policy. She has received the American Political Science Association's Phi Sigma Alpha Teaching Award, and 2001 was named the Illinois Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for Advancement of Teaching. Mixon frequently provides political analysis and commentary for Chicago media oulets including the Chicago Sun-Times, WGN, NBC and WYCC. She also is on of the editors of Twenty-First Century Chicago, an anthology of essential readings about Chicago politics and policies.
