What Is Walk for Hope?

Sponsored by the Elmhurst College Greek Community, Relay for Life/Walk for Hope in Memory of Claire Bartels is a challenging and fun way to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The 24-hour event is held outside on the Elmhurst College Mall.  At the event teams will camp out and take turns walking, jogging or running laps around the Mall remembering those lost to cancer, supporting those who face cancer, and hoping that one day cancer will be cured.

Since its inception in 1996, Relay fro Life/Walk for Hope has raised more than $360,000. All monies have been and will continue to be donated to the American Cancer Society.  The year, the Steering Committee is partnering more closely with the American Cancer Society to make Walk for Hope into a Relay for Life.
