Health care involved with women’s reproductive health is called gynecology. Every woman, regardless of sexual orientation, marital status or sexual activity should have an annual exam every year after age 21.
An annual exam includes the following: history, physical, breast exam, pelvic exam, tests for sexually transmitted infections, and education. Pap smears may be obtained every other year, depending on your own specific health history.
Before you come in for your appointment, please print out and complete the Gynecologic Health History form.
