Exams: There will be two in-class exams.
Exam Forgiveness Policy: If you need to take an exam early, you must contact me at least two weeks in advance and explain the reason (leaving early for spring break is not an acceptable reason). You will not be allowed to take any exam late for any reason. If you miss any one of the two regular exams for any reason, four-fifths of your percentage score on the other exam will serve as your score for the missed exam.
Quizzes: Beginning February 6th, there will be a quiz every Tuesday. Your lowest quiz grade will be dropped at the end of the semester. If you miss a quiz for any reason, that is the grade that will be dropped. No makeup quizzes will be permitted.
Homework: Homework assignments will be given each night. I will usually not collect the homework, but I reserve the right to do so. Any collected homework assignment grades will be included in the quiz grade. For homework problems, you are welcome to use whatever technology you feel comfortable with (calculator, computer, slide rule, etc.) and are strongly encouraged to work with other students, come to homework help hours, and visit the math tutors.
