INFORMATION - TOUR - FAQ

     The new Tom & Diane Tyrrell Fitness Center opened in October of 1999. It is 10,000 square feet and is comprised of two floors.
     The first floor includes the 3,000 foot strength room and 12,000 foot training/rehabilitation room. The strength room consists of 4 combination racks with platforms and half racks. There are also 4 modular multi racks. A selection of plate loaded Hammer Strength equipment consists of 3 dumbbell racks (5-110 lbs.), adjustable benches, Body Masters Selectriced Machines, Leg Press, and Smith Machine. In all, there are 8,367 lbs. in plates and 4,028 lbs. in dumbbells for a total of 12,395 lbs.
     Adjacent to the strength room is the athletic training room. This room is used for treating and rehabilitating athletic injuries. There is a full-time certified athletic trainer as well as a team physician to care for athletic training needs. The room consists of treatment, taping tables, whirlpools, electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound, ice machine, and various rehabilitation equipment.
     The second floor has two sections. The main area is the Cardiovascular Fitness Room which is approximately 3,000 square feet. Types of equipment in the fitness room include recumbent bikes, upright bikes, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, and tread mills. In addition to the cardiovascular equipment, users will find a selection of strength equipment.
     Locker room facilities for both males and females are also located on the second floor. Each locker room has 30 lockers, with a seating area, and full shower and sink facilities. Users are required to bring their own towel, toiletries, and locks for their lockers.
