TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS FINISH FOURTH AND SEVENTH AT WHEATON COLLEGE INVITATIONAL
MEET RESULTS

- March 31, 2001 - The men's team finished fourth and the women's team finished seventh at the Wheaton College Track and Field Invitational last Saturday (March 31). Elmhurst had three first-place finishers: sophomore Jason Malmassari (Sycamore-H.S.) in the steeplechase, freshman John McMillian (Miami, Fla.-South Miami) in the 100 meters and freshman Kathleen Brice (Elk Grove-H.S.) in the 1,500 meters.
      Malmassari won the steeplechase in 9:48, while McMillian was first in the 100 meters with a time of 11.08. Brice won the 1,500 meters in a personal-record time of 4:47.
      Junior Mindy Wolf (Woodstock-H.S.) placed second in both the 400-meters and the 400-meter hurdles. In the high jump, senior Nelson Grant (Homewood-Homewood-Flossmoor) placed second, followed by freshman John Hartmann (Island Lake-Wauconda) in third place.
      The Bluejay track and field team will participate in the Chicagoland Championships on Friday and Saturday (April 6-7) at North Central College in Naperville.
