INDOOR TRACK TEAMS COMPETE AT CHICAGO DUALS February 7, 2004 -
The men's and women's indoor track teams returned to action this week
by competing at the University of Chicago Duals. No team scores were
kept at the event. On the men's side, John Hartmann (Woodruff, Wis.-Wauconda) highlighted the meet by winning the high jump with a mark of 1.92 meters. Other top finishers included Craig Tiede (Woodridge-Downers Grove South) placing third in the 3,000 meters (8:58.74) while Justin Stevens (Springfield-Auburn) earned a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters by crossing the finish line in 15:50.83. Cedric Jones (Grand Prairie, Texas-Sam Houston) also scored a top-five finish by placing fifth in the 55 meter dash in 6.76 seconds. The Bluejays have the weekend off and will return to action at the Chicagoland Indoor Championships at Lewis University on February 20-21. |
