OUTDOOR TRACK TEAMS RUN AT WHEATON MEET March 27, 2004- The men's and women's outdoor track teams kicked off the 2004 outdoor season by running at the Wheaton College Invitational. The women's team placed 16th with five points, while the men's team placed 20th with 0.5 points. The women's team scored their points in the 5,000 meters. Krista Phelps (LaCrosse, Wis.-LaCrosse Central) placed 6th in 18:26.3 while Erin Brice (Elk Grove Village-Elk Grove) finished right behind in seventh place in 18:45.4 On the men's side, Matt Tomczyk ( Monticello, Wis.-H.S.) tied for eighth place in the high jump with a mark of 1.73 meters. |
