BLUEJAYS RUN AT RED AND WHITE CLASSIC AT NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE April 30, 2004- The men's and women's outdoor track teams continued the 2004 season by running at the Red and White Inivitational at North Central College. Both teams finished in fifth place. The women's team scored four points while the men's team scored 31 points. The women's team was led by Erin Brice (Elk Grove Village-Elk Grove), who placed fourth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:55.84. On the men's side, the team was led by Cedric Jones (Grand Prairie, Texas-Sam Houston) performance in the 100 meters. Jones won the event with a time of 11.20 seconds. Matt Tomczyk (Monticello, Wis.-H.S.) placed fifth in the long jump (5.72 meters) and fourth in the high jump (1.71 meters). The Bluejays will run at the CCIW Championships in Bloomington at Illinois Wesleyan University on May 7-8. |
