BLUEJAYS WIN THIRD CCIW MATCH WITH VICTORY OVER NORTH PARK

ELMHURST, ILL., September 30, 2003-- The Elmhurst College volleyball recorded its third College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) win of the season by defeating North Park 30-21, 30-15, 30-24.

Carly Bearwald (Northbrook-Glenbrook North) powered the Bluejays to the win, pounding down 11 kills. Lisa Denman (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin-Coffman) added nine kills and eight digs while Lindsey Mieling (Batavia-H.S.) tallied eight kills and four blocks. Regina Morrone (Orland Park-A.A. Stagg) led the team in assists, finishing with 19, while Christy Barone (Addison-Addison Trail) totaled 16 assists. Katie Bequette (Staunton-H.S.) led the team in digs with 12.

Elmhurst (16-4, 3-0 CCIW) will look to pick up their fourth CCIW win of the season when they host Augustana College on Wednesday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m.
