MEN'S TEAM 14th at ROY GRIAK INVITATIONAL; WOMEN'S TEAM 15th AT AUGUSTANA INVITATIONAL


MEET RESULTS (Men)

    ELMHURST, Ill., September 25-- The Elmhurst College men's cross country team placed 14th at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota. The Bluejays totaled 339 points. On the women's side, the Bluejays placed 15th at the Augustana Invitational on Friday, September 24.

Mark Heintz (Sycamore-H.S.) paced the men's team with a 18th place overall finish (26:06).Mike Glosson (Aurora-Aurora Central Catholic) placed 48th in 26:53 while Justin Stevens (Springfield-Auburn) finished right behind in 49th place (26:54). Mike Ptack (Oak Park/Oak Park-River Forest) placed 87th and Ryan Schaeffer (Skokie-Niles North) finished 137th to round out the Bluejay scoring.

On the women's side, the Bluejays placed 15th at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational at Augustana College on Friday. Elmhurst tallied 440 points for the 15th place finish. Marisa Mele (Naperville-Neuqua Valley) led the way for the Bluejays with an eighth place finish in 22:20. Ashley Brown (Wheaton-Glenbard South) placed 35th in 23:22 while Angie Phillips (Big Rock-Sandwich) placed 116th in 24:56. Katherine Baker (Loves Park-Harlem) placed 126th (25:09) and Emily Mills (St. Joseph/St. Joseph-Ogden) placed 313th to round out the Elmhurst scoring.
