The Department of Biology is dedicated to preparing its students for meaningful careers in a rapidly changing, challenging field. The faculty recognize each student brings a distinctive combination of aptitudes and interests and is committed to developing each students' highest potential.

Students who study biology at Elmhurst College graduate with the opportunity to study and work in challenging fields such as medicine and related health care fields, graduate study and research, teaching, industrial, agricultural and environmental applications.
