Chapter 1
Introduction
This handbook is designed for those students interested in a career in one of the allied health professions and aims to answer questions and guide students through their pre-professional years. It is recommended that all pre-allied health profession students at Elmhurst College read this handbook early in their program of study. In addition to reading this handbook, you should make regular appointments to see one of the Pre-Allied Health Professions Advisors on campus to obtain information that is specific to your personal needs and goals. We hope that you find this guide both useful and informative as you progress toward your goal of obtaining a position in the professional school of your choice.
