The Department of Chemistry offers a Major in Chemisty with a Concentration in Biochemistry designed for students intending to pursue careers in medicine and other health-related areas. This is is an interdisciplinary course of study that combines the core curriculum of a the chemistry major with additional specialization in Biochemisty and Biology. Chemisty majors nationwide have a higher than average acceptance rate to medical schools.
